Region Business Manager - Sales Team

Position Summary:              

We are looking for an individual who has been successful in a sales role through building strong customer relationships and who thrives in a team-oriented environment. You will be a key member of the field sales team responsible for driving strong execution that leads to exceptional results.

What you’ll do:

  •  Achieve net sales, profit and trade budgets by customer and region
  •  Build Gorton’s on-shelf presence through distribution growth and attaining Gorton’s shelf standards
  •  Create customer plans that excite customers and grow Gorton’s net sales, profit, and dollar share
  •  Work closely with Gorton’s internal Business Development and Revenue Growth teams to create strong selling stores and profitable/ incremental trade programs
  •  Develop and evaluate performance of our sales agents, including executive management.
  •  Motivate our sales agent retail teams to maximize sales by executing Gorton’s sales strategy and plans.
  •  Foster strong business partnerships with all retail customers and sales agents
  •  Successfully negotiate sales tactics and strategies with retail customers

What you’ll need:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in grocery products sales in the CPG industry
  • Prior sales agent management experience preferred
  • Strong record of sales achievement
  • High degree of motivation to excel and win
  • Aggressive attitude/high energy level & ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to recognize business building opportunities and design programs to capitalize
  • Experience using syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen) to build compelling and motivating sales stories and business plans
  • Strong personal and administrative disciplines, including the ability to manage and prioritize several projects
  • Various positions held with previous employer that show experience and evidence of progression, yet show stability and flexibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree level or higher. Education in business related field
  • Ideally resides in major market within the Southeast or Southwest
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to relocate for future assignments
