Financial Analyst – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

As a Financial Analyst, you will work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to provide financial analysis which includes cost accounting, production performance monitoring, and tracking of materials, inventory, and logistics.  The position will offer a unique opportunity to learn and understand Gorton’s manufacturing and supply chain as well as provide an opportunity to enhance your financial analysis knowledge. You will be able to quickly contribute to Gorton’s business objectives as a member of the Gorton’s Finance Team.


  1. Work closely with Manufacturing to provide analysis which includes the monitoring and evaluating of material and labor performance, as well as productivity efforts.
  2. Work closely with Distribution to track, forecast, and monitor raw material and finished goods inventories, co-packers, and logistics.
  3. Be the Finance lead on Retail product innovation efforts with new product costings and margin improvement initiatives.
  4. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for Operations and Supply Chain.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance
  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Well developed PC skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to leverage information to develop insightful business judgement
  • Initiative – a self starter
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, which result in effective functional and cross-functional team dynamics
  • Potential for advancement
