Position Summary

As a Consumer Brand Marketing Associate you will contribute to brand marketing initiatives which are focused on growing our business in an increasingly diverse consumer and retailer environment. You will work cross-functionally both internally and externally with Gorton’s advertising agency, with this role offering exposure across the company and up through senior leadership. Primary responsibilities include overseeing our social media strategy, shopper marketing programs, and managing our consumer budget. Over time, you will be given greater responsibility in the development and implementation of broader marketing initiatives to help grow our business. Our goal is to develop a talented individual for greater responsibility within marketing.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee and influence Gorton’s social media strategy and execution
  • Liaise daily with our agency of record, partnering to execute brand plans & grow the business
  • Manage, track & plan our annual consumer brand marketing budget 
  • Develop shopper marketing initiatives and programming across top retailers
  • Support consumer campaign planning & execution, including communications strategy, media planning and creative development
  • Work cross-functionally to support various ad-hoc Brand Marketing initiatives, such as brand equity, insights projects, and marketing mix

What you’ll need

  • Interest in a career in CPG Marketing
  • 2-5 years of successful CPG Marketing or related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing or other business majors preferred)
  • Outgoing, positive, can-do attitude and a passion for continued learning
  • Ability to apply social media passion in a way that is on-brand for Gorton’s
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, & Word)
