Position Summary:

The Plant Manager has responsibility for safe, sanitary, high quality and productive manufacture of frozen value-added products at our new facility in Lebanon, IN. The Plant Manager will ensure the safety, quality and legality of all processing and packaging operations. Primary responsibility includes leading the Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation teams by exploiting opportunities to improve product and process and ensuring consistency of execution across shifts. This position reports to the Director of Frozen Manufacturing.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain an effective organizational structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities to achieve targeted objectives.
  • Lead the plant management team in superior execution of all operational activities. Ensure effective policies and procedures are in place and adhered to consistently.
  • Define and maintain a clear plan for the development and continuing improvement of a food safety and quality culture.
  • Plan and implement team-driven projects for the improvement of product, process, and the working environment of the facility.
  • Maximize labor, material, & equipment utilization effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the training and development needs of the workforce in conjunction with department managers. Develop and implement training programs to improve the performance of employees and the safety of tasks.
  • Complete job performance evaluations, provide feedback, and take action to enhance workforce engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies as well as applicable external and legal requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of food manufacturing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
  • To be a creative, curious, innovative thinker, with a history for problem-solving.
  • Leadership, presentation, and team building skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
